Wanted to make it clear, that I went into writing this article with an open mind. Having written code in Cobol, Fortran, Pascal, C, Perl, Java, PHP, Python, C#, and JavaScript (sure I missed some), I am fairly open to change. That being said, I went ahead and added a TL;DR as follows. Thanks for the feedback.

TL;DR: Wrote this article with an open mind. In the end, I concluded my preference is to continue to use JavaScript on the back-end and using things like Flow and Clusters to solve some of the problems that I was looking to Go to solve. You may come to a different conclusion.
