Just so that I am not misunderstood, the main thrust of my argument is that:

1) I use JavaScript in the front-end; and expect to continue to in the near future.
2) I highly value familiarity.
3) I found many of the patterns (I illustrated a couple examples) in Go sufficiently different than what I know from JavaScript.
4) Thus, I do not intend on using Go right now.

By no means do I pretend to know how to compare the merits between Go and JavaScript; and I have no interest in engaging in that sort of discussion.
